artis asked: My father in-law has incurable cancer, and outstanding credit card debt of about $55K. Can the credit card companies sue his estate or children to collect the outstanding balances on his accounts once he passes away?

Azzz doggg asked: This will be my first credit card.
I am not planning on carrying any balance. I just want to build my credit history. I am making enough money to cover any purchases and plan to pay in full each month, so I don’t really care about the interest rate.

teddy25252003 asked: For the last week I have been applying for a credit card and being denied based on my lack of credit history. My question is what can I do to fix that? If I were to get either a cell phone or a netflix account would they help contribute positively to my credit score?

Book it! asked: I have excellent credit, all 3 scores in the 758 to 798 range. I only have 2 credit cards, but theyre both just basic cards from when I was 18. They don’t offer benefits/rewards or anything. What card can I apply for that gives rewards to people with good credit?

A. asked: I know that it can hurt your credit and raise your interest rate if you charge more than your credit limit.
However, what if you are just under your credit limit and then the credit card company adds their monthly interest fee which puts you over the limit? Is it considered the same thing? Or does the company (Chase) not charge you over-limit fees if it is their interest that put you over?
Example:
Credit limit: $1000
You charge: $975
Monthly interest charge: $50
New Balance: $1025
Thanks!

fdnl13 asked: Despite a flawless payment history over the last 20 years, Citibank is raising my rate by 5%. I would easily give them the heave-ho, but I’ve heard that a long-standing credit card account has a positive effect on your credit rating. How big a hit would my credit rating take if I closed the Citibank account?
