If you do not have bad credit, you can sign up for any card trust they are waiting for “fresh meat”.

Just apply for a credit card. If you don’t have a credit history there are tons of financial institutions out there just willing to sign up students for credit cards. Just be care with it! The finance charges can eat you alive!

I would recommend a student credit card first. You can try to get a credit card for no established credit as well. Other people try a card like First Premier which is a card that is designed for people who have less than perfect credit. I would go that route last if you could not get approved for any other credit card. Keep in mind that if you apply for too many credit cards it will lower your credit score and prevent you from getting approved for anything other than credit cards for bad credit and secured credit cards. I hope this helps.

Whatever you get, you should try to limit your credit line to no more than what you make in a month. I learned the hard way more than that is a bad road to take.

shop around and decide on what you want such as rewards points, cash back, lower interest rate, ect. And you shouldn’t have a problem getting one.

As you never had a credit card, it will be better if you apply after building your credit. In the current economic scenario, it is very tough to get a good credit card without credit history. Here are some ways to establish your credit history:
1)Take out a small loan using the savings account as collateral, and then pay it back. This will help you for establishing your credit history.
2)Apply for a secured credit card. Using a secured credit card is an easy way to build your credit rating. Pay your credit card balances on time. After a few months of having the secured credit card, apply for an unsecured card.
