		<description>CC issuers have been running this scam for years and years.  Convincing people they NEED credit cards to build credit.  I haven&#039;t had a CC for over 24 years.  Hasn&#039;t affected my ability to buy a home (3 years ago) or refinanced my current home (last month).  Build a savings account first with a respectable balance.

Note that every time you apply for a loan or CC, whether approved or not, dings your credit score.  Hard inquires generated by your loan/credit applications aren&#039;t good.  So, if you&#039;re not approved on the first two, don&#039;t keep trying.  Each time you apply, you score drops and your chances of getting approved lessen.</description>
