Curious Kat asked: I have no credit/bad credit, and have trouble even getting a department store card. Isn’t there a credit card that I can qualify for and work towards buiding my credit?

Janae B asked: I just got my first credit card through my bank (wells fargo) and really want to start building credit. I know the basics of building credit like paying on time and not going over your limit but still confused on how it all works.
Can i make my payments through my online banking like transfer from my checking to my credit card? Also how does APR work? Or even just tips on building credit would be awesome too. 10 points best answer. Thanks!

despiratechemstudent asked: I have $3,000 on my credit card. The interest rate is 18% which is rediculous. It is the same rate that I had when I got the card at 18 years old, and I’ve made every payment on time. I am 24 now. I have no bad marks on my credit. Shouldn’t I be able to lower my interest rate and get out of the freaking student interest rate? Thanks!

Bear E asked: I spent some time in jail and my credit card expired. Currently I have no checking account or active credit card. How do I get a credit report? All the sites I have seen require a valid active credit card.

redeyefredeye asked: She has went bankrupt twice and there is nothing i can do about it. The credit report is in both of our names because the state requires it. You cannot stop her from getting credit cards and ruining your credit unless you get a divorce. I dont have a credit card and on my credit report there are 16 credit cards with 4 in default? I am sick.

Double Negative asked: I see a great deal at a store to open up a credit card and get a prize or a rebate. If I want the big discount I open the credit card and then get the discount but I don’t want or need the credit card at all.
Is it better to close down this new card or keep it open with a zero balance? How does opening and closing account affect my credit score?

Robert B asked: I want a credit card with a good balance tranfer offer. Six months at 0% will do fine.
It might be nice for it to be otherwise a good credit card too because I might pay the balance off in about a month and still want to use the credit card.
I already have a Amazon credit card with Chase so I think I need to use a different bank.
