Book it! asked: I have excellent credit, all 3 scores in the 758 to 798 range. I only have 2 credit cards, but theyre both just basic cards from when I was 18. They don’t offer benefits/rewards or anything. What card can I apply for that gives rewards to people with good credit?

Jahmyl E asked: I have two credit cards. One is a CapitalOne card with a $750 credit limit. I was recently talked in to getting a new credit card with WellsFargo with a $1000 credit limit. I don’t feel safe having that amount anymore. I want to pay it all off and close it. I’ve had it for about a year. I’ve had the other one for about five years. Is that really bad for my credit score?

Caesarion asked: I’m a college student who got a credit card a little less than a year ago. I spend a lot (around $700 a month) and always pay back the total in full before the due date. My bank has increased my credit line three times since because of my good credit.
So are there any additional advantages to having a good credit score than easily getting approved for credit cards and getting large credit lines? Does it also project to any type of loans (i.e. it is easier to get approved for a car loan with a lower interest rate) or something?

Duane N Angela asked: I have paid all my debts off. I have a 783 credit score. Do I need to keep a couple of my credit cards open using them maybe once a month to keep them active to keep my credit score the way it is. I don’t want it to go down by not keeping my credit active. Any suggestions?

shirley ivery asked: I want to get a frequent flyer credit card but I already have 3 credit cards with generous limits. I don’t need these credit cards and I would like to cancel them and have this “possible credit” to go towards the new card. I heard once that canceling a credit card has a negitive effect on your credit score. Is this true? If so, how do I switch credit cards and avoid affecting my credit score in a bad way?
