fania reikowsky asked: I have recently paid off everything on my credit report. My credit score is slowly creeping up. I, like a lot of people, screwed up my credit when I was younger and am paying for it now. My Scores range from 579 – 618. Can someone give me some feedback please?

love_earth22 asked: I am getting sick of my bad credit ruining everything I try to do. At this point I am finally able to pay off my debt in order to fix this problem. I have heard stories of people paying off their debt but the company leaving them as unpaid on their credit report. I DONT want this to happen. How do I go about paying everything off while making sure it is taken off my credit report for good? How long does it take your score to change after you paid everything off?

Bear E asked: I would like to settle a few closed credit accounts that have been charged off and bought out by debt collectors. The collection agency is offering me a discounted rate to pay off this account. If I choose this option, will my credit report eventually show this account closed and paid off, as stated by the agency?

roxine seesholtz asked: If I have a good credit score but still have unpaid collection accounts on my credit report will lenders expect me to pay those before they would give me a mortgage? Or if my credit score is high does that mean they won’t really care about much else?

*JC* asked: I payed off 2 credit cards out of four. Can I contact those two credit card companies and ask if they can report positive comments to the credit bureau to raise my score? Or do they automatically do that? I’m trying to raise my score. If you have any tips please share them with me. Thank you.

Moris asked: When I go shopping, the store asks me if I want to save xx% off my purchase by signing up for a credit card. How bad will it affect my credit score if I sign up to get the discount. Pay it all off right away and canceling right after that? My first credit card received was in 2001 and I never plan on cancelling it.
How bad would it affect my credit score if I do it often?
